Privacy Policy

Last updated: [date of publishing]

DRAFT - to be checked by a lawyer before publishing (UK GDPR and EU GDPR). Items in [square brackets] need filling in.

The short version: your trades, videos, voice recordings, transcripts and notes stay on your own computer. We never receive them.

Who is responsible

[Company name] Ltd, [registered address], is the controller for the small amount of personal data described here. Contact: [email protected].

Data that stays on your PC (we never see it)

Your trading history, account numbers and balances, screen and webcam videos, microphone recordings, transcripts, notes, tags and settings. Speech is turned into text on your own computer. You can delete any of it at any time.

Data we do handle

  • Waiting list: your email address and, if you choose, your trading platform, to tell you when TalkTrade launches. Legal basis: your consent; unsubscribe any time.
  • Buying a plan: Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record, collects your name, email, billing address and payment details and processes them under its own privacy policy. We receive your email, country, plan and payment status, to issue and manage your licence.
  • Licence checks: your licence key and a random ID for each computer (no trading data), so a licence works on up to 2 PCs. Legal basis: to perform our contract with you.
  • Support: what you send us when you ask for help. Only attach files if you want us to see them.
  • Website: our hosting provider keeps basic server logs (such as IP addresses) for security. [We don't use advertising cookies. / Describe any analytics used.]

Services TalkTrade connects to

TalkTrade on your PC may download a public economic news calendar and, if you turn it on, connect to your trading platform's official service (for example cTrader's) directly from your PC. [If an optional AI coach is added later, describe what is sent and to whom, and make it opt-in.]

How long we keep data

Waiting-list emails until launch plus 12 months, or until you unsubscribe. Licence and billing records as long as the law requires (usually 6 years in the UK). Support emails for 2 years.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, delete or move your data, object to its use, or withdraw consent, by emailing us. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local authority.

International transfers

Where providers handle data outside the UK or EU, we rely on approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Children

TalkTrade is for adults (18+).
